Product Description

This series of coaxial fixed attenuators and terminations is designed for RF/microwave systems. The frequency range covers DC to 67GHz. Power range covers 2W to 1000W. Standard impedance is 50Ω. The product offers multiple connector types, including 1.85mm, 2.4mm, 2.92mm, 3.5mm, SMA, SSMP, N, TNC, and 7/16 (DIN) . These adapt to various test and measurement equipment and communication systems. The low VSWR design ensures excellent impedance matching, reducing signal reflection and power loss. They are widely used in test and measurement, communication base stations, power amplifiers,  and multi-channel aging test systems.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between fixed attenuators and terminations?

A: Fixed attenuators are used to reduce signal power by precise ratios (e.g., 3dB, 6dB, 10dB, 20dB, 30dB, 40dB, 50dB, 60dB, etc.). They are commonly used for power adjustment and signal level matching. Terminations are mainly used to absorb signal energy and match impedance to prevent signal reflection. They are often used as antenna dummy loads or matching ports for multi-port devices.

Q: How to choose the right connector type?

A: Connector selection depends mainly on operating frequency, power, and system compatibility. 1.85mm supports up to 67GHz. 2.4mm supports up to 50GHz. 2.92mm supports up to 42GHz. 3.5mm supports up to 26.5GHz. SMA/N/TNC support up to 18GHz. Higher frequency requires smaller connector size. When selecting, ensure the connector type matches your equipment ports.

Q: What impact does VSWR have on the system?

A: The closer VSWR is to 1:1, the better the impedance matching, resulting in less signal reflection and higher power transfer efficiency. High VSWR causes signal reflection, increased power loss, and may even damage power amplifier components. This series offers VSWR as low as 1.20:1, ensuring excellent impedance matching performance.

Q: What is the difference between peak power and average power?

A: Average power refers to the long-term power handling capability under continuous wave (CW) conditions. Peak power refers to the instantaneous power that can be handled under pulse conditions. Peak power is typically much higher than average power but is limited by pulse width and duty cycle. When selecting, consider both based on your signal type (CW or pulse).
