TR Series Toroidal choke coils, inductors for high frequency applications, Choke Power Inductors
TR series toroidal choke / power inductor is designed for high-frequency switching power supplies and electronic equipment. It offers low loss at high frequencies and excellent EMI suppression performance. The product uses a toroidal core structure with extremely low leakage flux, effectively reducing electromagnetic interference. Multiple core material options are available, including MPP, High Flux, Sendust / Carbonyl Iron, and Iron Powder cores, suitable for different frequency and power requirements. Both SMD and through-hole packages are supported. The low-profile design saves space. It is widely used in switching power supplies, power line filtering, EMI/RFI suppression, and various high-frequency electronic devices.

FAQ
Q: What core materials are available for the TR series? How to choose?
A: The TR series offers five core material options: MPP (Molybdenum Permalloy Powder), High Flux, Sendust, Carbonyl Iron, and Iron Powder. MPP offers the lowest loss and best temperature stability, suitable for high-frequency, high-precision applications. High Flux has high saturation density, suitable for high-power applications. Sendust offers good cost-performance. Carbonyl Iron has excellent high-frequency characteristics. Iron Powder is the lowest cost. Selection should be based on operating frequency, power, and cost requirements.
Q: How to choose between SMD and through-hole packages?
A: SMD package is suitable for automated SMT production lines, ideal for high-volume production. Through-hole package is suitable for wave soldering, allowing easy manual soldering and prototyping. Please choose based on your PCB design and production process.
Q: How to select the rated current from 0.2A to 30A?
A: When selecting, we recommend choosing a rated current at least 1.2 to 1.5 times the maximum operating current. This provides sufficient margin to prevent core saturation, which would reduce filtering performance. Also consider current derating at high temperatures to ensure the component temperature does not exceed 85°C.
