Product Description

The SCTK660A series split-core current transformer is designed for current measurement and monitoring in new or existing power distribution networks. The product uses a split-core self-locking structure that allows quick installation without disconnecting or removing cables or busbars. The wide window design accommodates large-diameter cables or busbars. The secondary winding has a built-in precision parallel resistor, providing a safe low-voltage output without the need for external sampling resistors. Epoxy encapsulation ensures excellent insulation performance. It is widely used for current measurement, monitoring, and protection in power lines and equipment, as well as current and power measurement for motors, lighting, air compressors, HVAC, and automation control systems, as well as energy monitoring and relay protection devices.

FAQ

Q: Does the split-core current transformer require power-off or cable removal during installation?

A: No. The SCTK660A series uses a split-core self-locking structure with a core that opens and closes. It can be installed without disconnecting or removing any cables or busbars. It is especially suitable for retrofit projects and applications where power cannot be turned off, significantly reducing installation costs and time.

Q: What are the advantages of the self-locking structure?

A: The self-locking structure ensures the transformer remains securely locked onto the cable or busbar after installation. It will not loosen or shift due to vibration or external forces, ensuring safe and reliable installation. Operation is simple, and no special tools are required for installation or removal.

Q: What is the function of the built-in precision resistor?

A: The secondary winding has a built-in precision parallel resistor. It converts the current signal directly into a safe low-voltage output, eliminating the need for external sampling resistors. This simplifies installation, improves safety, and saves component costs and installation space.

Q: How to apply for samples? What is the lead time?

A: You can submit a sample application through our website or email. Please provide your company information and target model. Samples are free of charge and will be shipped within 3-5 working days. Mass order lead time is generally 2-8 weeks.
