Product Description
SDR Series SMD High Quality Unshielded Power Inductor

The SDR series unshielded high-current SMD power inductor features an unshielded open structure with cost advantage as its core competitiveness. Inductance range covers 1.0μH to 1200μH. Rated current is up to 4.5A.

The flat top design is suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly. It is compatible with vapour phase soldering and infrared reflow soldering processes, with soldering heat resistance of 260°C/10 seconds.

Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C. Storage temperature: -40°C to +105°C.

It is widely used in PDAs, laptop DC-DC converters, PDA flash programmers, buck-boost converters, and set-top boxes.

FAQ
Q: What are the inductance range and rated current of the SDR series?

A: The SDR series covers an inductance range from 1.0μH to 1200μH, with rated current up to 4.5A. The wide inductance range and high current capacity make it suitable for various DC-DC converters and portable device power management applications.

Q: What are the advantages and disadvantages of unshielded structure compared to shielded structure?

A: Unshielded inductors use an open magnetic circuit structure. The advantages are lower cost, smaller size, and generally higher saturation current. The disadvantage is higher leakage flux, which may cause EMI to nearby sensitive circuits. For applications with less strict EMI requirements, the unshielded structure is a more cost-effective choice.

Q: What are the advantages of the flat top design?

A: The flat top design ensures stable nozzle suction and accurate positioning during automated placement, improving SMT production efficiency and yield. The flat surface also facilitates visual inspection system recognition, making it suitable for high-speed automated production lines.
